A Man After God's Own Heart
With a passion for the ministry and teaching God's Word, Pastor Parker began preparing himself for the call on his life at an early age by teaching Sunday School and Bible studies as a teenager. From a young man, he has always had a strong desire for the lost and to assist people in growing to their full potential in understanding and applying God's Word to their lives. A teacher by profession, Pastor Parker has served the children and parents of the New Orleans community as a teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal for 33 years until his retirement from the school system in September 2013.
As a full-time pastor, Pastor Parker is striving to fulfill his calling in every aspect of the development of New Orleans Bible Fellowship Baptist Church and its' members. He was licensed to preach the gospel on October 18, 1998, and was ordained as a minister on February 2, 2002, at New Genesis Bible Church in New Orleans. He was also enrolled in New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for a brief time, before Hurricane Katrina. He has served as the Assistant to the Pastor at New Genesis Baptist Church and New Orleans Bible Fellowship Baptist Church. On October 19, 2006, New Orleans Bible Fellowship Baptist Church membership elected Rev. Parker as their Pastor, where he continues to serve as the Senior Pastor.
He is married to First Lady Denise G. Parker and they have been blessed with 3 sons. They work together in the ministry, serving and leading God's people by example. To God be the Glory for what He has done!
